European soccer recap: Brighton humble Arsenal, Villa keep Spurs winless

It's another weekend of European soccer and the final one before the international break!

In the Premier League, Saturday's action began with Aston Villa beating Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 in London. Both teams were chasing their first league victory of the season and, while Spurs are still winless and in the bottom three, they did score their first goals on the campaign.

Next up, Brighton & Hove Albion welcomed league leaders Arsenal to England's south coast, and promptly dispatched the defending champions 3-0. Finally, Nottingham Forest host a Coventry City side still searching for their first win and goal of the season.

Elsewhere, AS Roma settled for a 2-2 with Inter Milan in a huge clash between Serie A's current top two. In the Bundesliga, Stuttgart fell 1-0 to Borussia Dortmund, while in LaLiga, Sevilla host league leaders Barcelona.
